SWINGSETS: PLAYSET INSTALLATION CHECKLIST

Rainbow of the Heartland offers installation of your playset you have purchased to be installed by our reliable employee installers.
Please take some time to review the following helpful information.

PLEASE PREPARE FOR THE ARRIVAL OF YOUR PLAYSET:

Have a location in your yard selected PRIOR to the arrival of our installation crew. We will make every effort to install your playset in the location you have selected, however there are limits. Please consult with your salesperson if you have any concerns with the space or slope of your yard.
Please plan to be present at the beginning of the installation to confirm the installation location in your yard and position of features on the playset. If you have a very specific location, angle, or position of features in mind, PLEASE BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE INSTALLATION to guide our crew during assembly. You have made an important investment.

Please allow a couple hours of your time for the installation.

Please plan to be present at the end of the installation to confirm:

  • All the features are included and located where you desired.
  • You are satisfied with the overall installation. ADD’L CHARGES WILL APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT AND REQUEST WE RETURN TO RE-POSITION YOUR SET.
  • Payment method for balance due, if applicable.
  • Your yard must have sufficient space, including a safety zone, for the features of the playset ordered.
  • Our Clubhouse models MUST have a LEVEL AREA for the FORT section.
  • Our Castle models have options available for extended parts if needed (additional costs will apply). Extended parts are not available on all models.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to have a level area for the set to be built or have made prior arrangements for extended parts.
  • If needed, we can dig in the playset a maximum of 6 inches. Dig limits are set dependent.
  • Rainbow of the Heartland does not have the equipment or expertise for grading a yard.

HOW TO MEASURE SLOPE

Tools needed: Level, Ruler or Yardstick and Tape Measure

  1. Set Tape Measure on the ground at the high spot where the playset will contact the ground.
  2. Extend Tape Measure to the low point where playset will contact the ground.
  3. At the low point, place the Level on top of Tape Measure and adjust until bubble shows level.
  4. Then use the Ruler to measure distance from the raised end of the Tape Measure to the ground.
  5. If more than 6”, extended parts will be needed for a Castle model. A Clubhouse model will not work.

For the location in your yard, please confirm:

  • Space – Do you have sufficient space including safety zone? (see your order for dimensions)
  • Slope – Is your installation area level? (Please advise if any questions or concerns)
  • Does your yard have a fence?
  • Do you have any pets? If so, please have them secured & installation area CLEAN OF WASTE.
  • Do you have a sprinkler system? If so, mark any heads near the installation area.
  • What is the ground surface at the installation site?
  • Existing grass / Dirt / New Seed / New Sod / Wood Chips / Pea Gravel / Rubber Mulch

SCHEDULING FOR SWINGSET INSTALL

  • Your order will indicate the availability of your play system
  • Scheduling is done on a weekly basis with priority determined by order date and order #
  • At the end of each week, we will begin to schedule installations for the following week. We will call you and confirm the installation date along with an approximate window of time

**We will do all within our capabilities to meet a requested installation date, however scheduling is subject to weather delays and occasionally inventory delays. **

When you receive our call to confirm an installation date, be prepared to confirm the following:

  • Date of installation & approximate window of time (within a 3 hr window)
  • The site you have selected in your yard is ready for installation
  • Payment method for balance due, if applicable

** Once your installation date is confirmed, if weather conditions or any other situation arises that may cause our installers to be unable to build your set on your confirmed date, you will be notified and then contacted to reschedule for the FOLLOWING WEEK! Please contact Rainbow of the Heartland if any other situation should arise that would cause to be unable to install your swingset on your schedule installation date and timeframe during store hours or after hours email us at: SALESDM@RAINBOWOFTHEHEARTLAND.COM immediately!

IF you CANNOT be present during the installation, please let us know and:

  • Mark the specific location in your yard where you would like the playset to be built
  • Indicate the direction of each feature
  • Provide a phone number at which you can be contacted during installation if any questions should arise. ADD’L CHARGES WILL APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT AND REQUEST WE RETURN TO RE-POSITION YOUR SET

Additional charges will be applied if:

  • Your yard is not ready (including but not limited to: unlevel, muddy, new sod) for installation upon arrival of our crew on your confirmed date.
  • Extended parts are needed to make the playset level and we were not previously informed of the situation.
  • You ask us to re-position and/or move the set in the yard (after it’s already assembled and leveled).
  • You ask us to re-position features on the set after install is Completed

BASKETBALL HOOPS: GOAL INSTALL CHECKLIST

Rainbow of the Heartland will submit the utility marking request to the appropriate state on-line site to have the yard marked to show any underground utility lines such as water, sewer, electric, gas, cable, etc. The utility companies usually complete their markings within approximately 3 – 7 working days from when order is submitted. Rainbow of the Heartland will NOT dig the ground anchor hole, or schedule the installation date, until ALL the utilities have been indicated to us as MARKED or CLEAR.

ALL OUR GOAL INSTALLS ARE A 3 STEP PROCESS:

  1. We submit to OneCall to mark area
  2. DIG and set anchor system (Let concrete cure for 4-7 days weather permitting)
  3. Come back and install goal on anchor system

**IMPORTANT: FOR ALL LINES, Cable, Electric, Water Utilites, from any main junction to the home that are MISSED by the utility companies: PLUS, sprinkler systems, invisible dog fences, drainage lines, low voltage lines or any customer-installed lines that WILL NOT be marked by OneCall, Rainbow of the Heartland and our Installation Crews WILL NOT be responsible for any damages the may occur when digging. Please Be prepared to relocate goal install location, relocate lines or repair these items if the need arises.

*The Location of the hole for the anchor is dependent on the utility marking and the guidance of the homeowner. We recommend marking the location with a flag or stake where you would like the hole for the anchor to be CENTERED on. Our customers should be present for the anchor placement if possible. The Hole will be 14″-18″ in Diameter and 4′ Deep. The location you select MUST BE 26″ MIN CLEAR of ALL Utilities that have been marked and any other obstruction above and below the ground.

REQUIRED INFO:

  • Hole Location: Edge of driveway / Other
  • Surface: Concrete / Asphalt (if cutting is required, $600 fee applied) / Other
  • What is the ground surface at dig site? Existing grass / New Seed / New Sod / Dirt / Gravel / Mulch. Dirt from the dig will be left near the anchor for the customer to use or dispose of as they please. In the event we run into impenetrable rock, it will be the customer’s responsibility to have the rock removed.
  • Is there outside water access and/or electric within 30’ of the pole location?
  • Sprinkler System?
  • Invisible DOG Fence?

The installation of the anchor will be squared with the edge of the driveway (or pad) unless otherwise indicated by the homeowner. If you prefer to have the goal squared with the house or another landmark, this needs to be indicated prior to installation of the anchor. If the anchor has been installed and customer wants it repositioned, it will be the homeowner’s responsibility to pay for any jackhammering/removal costs and additional labor to remove anchor and re-install it.

An additional fee of $100 will be applied for removing/disposing an existing portable goal.

Cut at ground level/Remove/ Dispose Old Goal: $200 ** WE DO NOT REMOVE INGROUND BASKETBALL GOAL SYSTEMS FROM THE GROUND ONLY CUT AT GROUND LEVEL***

SCHEDULING FOR BASKSETBALL GOAL INSTALL:

  • Rainbow of the Heartland offers installation of your basketball goal purchase from us by our reliable employee crews
  • Your order will indicate when your basketball goal will be available.
  • Scheduling is done on a weekly basis with priority determined by order date and order #.
  • At the end of each week, we will begin to schedule installations for the following week. We will contact you and confirm the DIG and installation of the Achor System with an approximate time and date once OneCall has been to your home and marked the underground utilities.
  • After anchor is set and completed, we will then contact you to confirm date and timeframe when we will back to install the goal on the anchor system

**We will do all within our capabilities to meet the requested installation date. However, scheduling is subject to weather delays, OneCall delays and occasionally inventory delays.**

When you receive our call to confirm an installation date, be prepared to confirm the following:

  • Date of installation & approximate time (usually morning or afternoon within a 4 hour timeframe)
  • OneCall has marked the area and you have placed a stake in the ground for the center of anchor location.
  • Payment method for balance due, if applicable.

Also, please be prepared for the arrival of our installation crew by:

  • Having any pets secured and the installation area clean of pet waste.
  • Plan on being present at the beginning of the installation to confirm your anchor/goal location.

If weather conditions should arise that would prohibit our installation crew from digging or building your goal on the scheduled date, you will be notified and then contacted to reschedule for the FOLLOWING WEEK. If any other situation should arise that would cause us to be unable to build your goal on your scheduled installation date, please contact Rainbow of the Heartland.

SPRINGFREE TRAMPOLINE INSTALL AND SCHEDULING:

Thank you for purchasing a Springfree Trampoline from Rainbow of the Heartland. We know you’ll be pleased with your decision to buy the safest trampoline available today.

Installation:

**** Springfree Trampolines are free standing. Please note our installation process does not include digging or leveling. Springfree trampolines weigh between 275 – 350 pounds depending on the year and model. Most yards do not require any additional anchoring. If, however, you live in a high wind area or are concerned about excessive wind, Springfree does offer an anchor system option. Please ask a sales associate for details and cost.

**** At the end of each week (normally Fridays), we will begin to schedule installations for the following week. We will call you and confirm the installation date along with an approximate window of time.

**WE ONLY INSTALL PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM/THROUGH RAINBOW OF THE HEARTLAND**
