How long has SnapSports been in business?

SnapSports pioneered the outdoor backyard court and modular sports flooring industry nearly four decades ago. No other company has more hands-on experience. It is a family-owned and operated company with nearly 100 team members that produce the highest-quality, American-made products in the athletic court flooring market. Unlike many other companies, SnapSports engineers and builds their own molds, as well as manufactures their own flooring products in-house in Salt Lake City, Utah. No other company can make this statement. SnapSports is supported by a global sports dealer network.

What are some of the biggest reasons people buy a court for their family?

There are many reasons why families make this purchase. Many parents wish to provide a safe place for their children to play sports with friends and family. Others enjoy the convenience of an area in or at their home in which they can maintain a healthy lifestyle with regular, fun exercise on a quality surface that reduces the stress placed on an athlete’s body. Some parents express their wish to divert their kids away from more sedentary pastimes, such as video games, the internet, television and phone texting, while others feel it’s important for kids to develop and hone their sports skills.

What kind of base do you recommend for a multi-court?

We recommend a 4″ court base of steel-reinforced concrete because it offers the best long-term performance. For unstable soil, compaction, or water table concerns, we recommend post-tension concrete reinforced with cables. Asphalt can also be used as a less expensive option for tennis courts.

What sports, games, and activities can take place on a multi-court?

Basketball, street hockey, tennis, Futsal, volleyball, inline/roller hockey, paddle tennis, soccer, badminton, floor hockey, Pickleball®, dodgeball, Speedminton®, roller skating, foam tennis, kickball, shuffleboard, hopscotch, four square, handball, whiffle ball, tot play, scooters/trikes, skateboarding, parties, dances, soccer tennis, and more. In cold climates, many families design their courts to be flooded in the winter and turned into personal ice rinks!

Can we just buy the components, then pour the concrete and do the installation ourselves?

Yes, Rainbow of the Heartland is happy to work with customers in whatever way works best for them. Typical options include you buying components and completing installation yourself; you buying components and install service from us, but have a builder pour the concrete; or a complete, turn-key installation provided by us, your SnapSports authorized dealer.

What is a multi-court?

A multi-court is designed to accommodate all your favorite sports and games in a space one-fourth the size of a tennis court. A standard tennis court is 60’×120′ (7200 sft.), while an average multi-court is 30’×60′ (1800 sft.).

What size are multi-courts and what size of space do we need?

Lining and color design are usually a family decision, but our multi-courts most often have one set of game lines for paddle tennis, Pickleball, foam tennis, tennis, badminton, Speedminton, and volleyball. The perimeter playing lines are 20’×50′ (a scaled down singles tennis design) on courts over 60′, and 20’×44′ on courts under 60′ in length. On courts more than 30′ wide, a 2′ doubles line may be added on each side for foam and short tennis doubles.

What are the playing lines of common paddle and racquet games?

Multi-courts are custom designed to fit any space, sports interests, and family budget. The dimensions that best accommodate the widest range of sports and games (12+) range between 25’×60′ (1500 sft.) and 35’×75′ (2625 sft.). We can build many smaller and larger courts. A popular size is 28’×46′ (1280 sft), but the average is about 30’×60′.

Families with a favorite paddle or racquet sport may want only the official lining of that sport installed, and we are happy to accommodate. Pickleball lines are 20’×44′, badminton doubles are 20’×44′, short and foam tennis are 20’×50′, and paddle tennis are 20’×50′.

What are the official dimensions of a tennis court?

60’×120′ (7,200 sft.) overall. Play lines for singles are 27’×78′ and 36’×78′ for doubles.

How can we play tennis on a multi-court that is one-fourth the size of a tennis court?

Using a low-energy tennis ball that compresses on impact restricts the velocity and distance of the ball. This allows players to enjoy the same experience on a multi-use courts as they would on a full-sized tennis court. Low-energy tennis balls are used by USTA professionals to teach tennis to young children. You can use regulation tennis racquets on our multi-courts, but our customers find the game more enjoyable with 21″ – 24″ junior tennis racquets. Two 21″ racquets are provided in the SnapSports Fun Gear Pack, along with low compression tennis balls.

If we just want a half court for basketball, do you offer that?

Yes, SnapSports builds half- and full-court basketball courts. Our most popular half courts are 30’×30′, 30’×40′, and 30’×50′. Our most popular full courts are 35’×55′, 30’×60′, 35’×65′, 40’×70′, 46’×75′, 50’×80′, 54’×94′ and 56’×104′.

How long does it take to receive the court from the time I order it?

Most courts are received within two to three weeks from the date they are ordered. SnapSports production runs seven days a week. We will notify you if your order should exceed that timeframe due to a high volume of orders at the factory. Courts with custom logos currently take five weeks to arrive after order placement.
